A quick hunt should unearth this cache before leaving lowland Wales behind and finding your ears popping as you climb the heights of Mynydd-y-Gaer (if driving that is).
A steep drive (or walk) from the lane systems between Brynna and Pencoed takes you onto common land leading to Mynydd-y-Gaer, home to a rapidly expanding windfarm, the burial place of King Arthur and fantastic views!
This cache is hidden a very short distance from the beginning of the common and could easily be a diversion from the nearby 'Church, Chapel & Beyond' series or as a taster before venturing onwards to find the caches along the ridgeway at the top (two of which are ours of course). :-)
Something of a shortcut between Brynna/Pencoed and Gilfach Goch on the other side of the mountain, don't be surprised to see the odd vehicle making the journey whilst hunting.
