This cache is now out of the public eye, please help keep it that way. There is plenty of material around

This cache is in Stone Mountain Park. There is a parking fee to enter the Park. It is located in the East Quarry.
Stone Mountain has an extraordinary volume of exposed granite. It was desirable because it did not have to be extracted from quarries deep within the earth. The men cut and hauled the stone right off the mountain.
They started quarrying by cutting rock from boulders, they hammered wooden wedges into cracks in the stone and poured water over them causing them to swell and split the granite. Later on drills were powered by compressed air and drilling was no longer a manual task, later they began using explosives. You can see the ledges in this quarry of where the granite was take from.
PLEASE BE SURE TO RESET THE LOCK WHEN YOU PLACE THE CACHE BACK!
