L'Arc de Triomphe érigé dans les années 20 à 25 de notre ère commémore les victoires de Germanicus et/ou à la gloire de Tibère. Situé au nord d'Arausio (Orange) sur la voie Agrippa (N7) il a été construit avec de gros blocs de pierres, débités localement à partir de calcaire jaune et placés sans joints.
Il est classé aux sites des monuments du patrimoine mondial par l'UNESCO, tout comme le théâtre antique.
Il a été restauré très récemment.
Cette géocache remplace la N° GC1C8BQ de PAPY84 qui a été archivée.

The triumphal arch erected in the years 20-25 AD commemorates the victories of Germanicus and / or the glory of Tiberius. Located north of Arausio (Orange) on the road Agrippa Road N7) was built with large blocks of stone, cut locally from yellow limestone and placed without joints.
It is classified sites of world heritage monuments by UNESCO, as the ancient theater.
It was restored recently.
