* Brake, Park, and Grab
All geocachers MUST stop here to test their brakes before continuing on. It does not matter if you are going up or down the hill. You MUST stop and check your brakes! Yeah, yeah, I know the cache guidelines forbid me from compulsory requirements in order to claim a find. But in fact, this rule is superseded by the requirement to sign the cache log proving you have actually been on site. Since it is PRACTICALLY** impossible to sign the log without first stopping your vehicle, exiting said vehicle, searching for the cache, removing the log, signing and replacing, without using your brakes, I am allowed to stipulate in my cache description that you MUST test your brakes! (See Groundspeak vs. Mr. Science, for the case law.)
** Yes, you could stop your car by ramming it into a pole or driving it into a ditch, etc, without using your brakes, however, except for the one-percenters, this would generally be considered impractical! Have fun!
