Love Series #4 - The Golden Eagle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ninja Reviewer: As there has been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This is #4 of Lee_d and Lizoh08's Love Series; a camoflauged tin container.

This container is hard to open so work up some geo-strength and muscle it off and please, reseal well. We recommend long pants and shoes or boots. Please take special care of this one!

This cache is named after lee_d's carrier, cvn-70, the USS Carl Vinson. After graduating from Nuclear Power School the USN stationed him on the "The Golden Eagle" out of San Diego, CA. That meant we would be separated just six months after being married. We knew the road ahead of us would be difficult and we fully expected it. We were finally reunited after four and a half months apart and that's when I truly realized just how special our marriage was. I often (okay, more than often... everyday! haha) gripe about the USN but without lee_d's decision to join we would have never met. I decided to place this cache in honor of my courageous, determined and loyal husband that has given up so much for our future family and our country. He is a wonderful man who deserves more than just a cache in his honor. I am so proud of all that he has accomplished thus far and look forward to supporting him in all of his future endeavors.

This is just a little thank you to him and to all others who have served and are still serving.
