Which Way to the Dam Falls? (Auckland) Traditional Cache

Well, if you're looking for the falls, head NW, but if you're looking for the dam, it's a bit of a hike to the SE...

This 1L sized geocache is located on the Massey Track in the Hunua Falls Reserve. You will likely access this from the Hunua Falls Carpark, in which case turning around and heading back down will lead you to the falls and a couple of lookouts to view them from. If you continue along the track a bit further you'll meet the Wairoa Cossey Track, at which point you can turn left and head to Cosseys Dam or turning right after another hour or two you'll reach the Wairoa Dam.

There is a bit of tree cover at GZ, but the coords were averaged for more than 5 minutes and checked with another GPS. Your GPS may wander a bit, but the cache hiding spot should not be too hard to spot, particularly if you use the hint.

Please ensure the cache is well covered when you rehide it so that it cannot be seen from the track. There is plenty of natural camouflage material around the area - please make use of it. The cache contains a logbook, pencil and a couple of swag items for the kids to swap.
