Geocache Description:


Join geocachers from across Hampton Roads for another Third Tuesday evening of food and fun, July 17 at 6:00 p.m. at Plaza Azteca in Newport News, VA. New cachers are especially welcome. Share stories and helpful hints, swap TBs and pathtags, plan future hunts and hides, or just have a great time visiting with old friends and welcoming new cachers to our community!

In addition to the usual trackables table for swapping and discovery*, there will be a free door prize drawing and – as a special treat for everyone's entertainment during the event – we'll run a slideshow on the wall-mounted flat screen TV. We’ll bring the laptop, you bring the flash drives loaded with your videos and photos from GeoWoodstock, the WWFM Hokey Pokey, and other geocaching events!

* Don’t forget to mark your discovery-only trackables appropriately.

  • Kids eat free on Tuesdays!
  • A 10% discount is offered to employees of: SAIC, HII, Lockheed, Riverside, Newport News Public Schools, CNU, Canon, Equidata, Jefferson Lab, ATT, Verizon, ECPI, W.M. Jordan, and members of the military.
  • The banquet room is on the second floor, but we can move the event to the ground floor to accommodate anyone with special needs. Just let us know in your Will Attend post or by private message.
The plan is to rotate the Third Tuesday event locations around Hampton Roads.
