It has taken years to find missing details about Dodger Kodjalwal, Katherine's only casualty in the bombing of Katherine on the 22nd March 1942.Stories indicate that Dodger was crouching behind a rock when he was killed. We may never know definitively. But this shrapnel-damaged rock seems to be the ideal place to mark his passing
