Taken for Granite Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

PA_Mainiac: Sadly, my mother passed away in December 2020, and we are preparing to sell her house. We have removed both the cache and the stone, and will keep them as mementoes of our family history. As we are now living back in Maine, perhaps we will place them again, back in their home territory.

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed to represent our family roots.

I placed this cache at my mother's house under a piece of the granite foundation from her parent's old home in Maine.  Since she and I both grew up in Maine, this is a literally a piece of home for us.
The neighbors know about this cache, so you should have no trouble from them.  However, the neighborhood teenagers could be another story.  Please use stealth if they are out and about.
Availability during the winter months will depend a lot on how much snow is on the ground, since the plows may bury it.  The only reason this is rated a 1.5 for terrain is because I'm not sure if it would be wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair could definitely get up to it, but it may be a bit low to actaully reach.
THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER THE FENCED YARD, but you are welcome to take a break on the step while logging or just resting.
The box can accomidate small swag items. Please be sure to keep all SWAG trades KID FRIENDLY! We recently had to remove a partial can of chewing tobacco that someone left. We expect this to be a family friendly cache.
Please be sure to place the cache and camo back EXACTLY as you found it. Happy Caching!! Congratulations to TimNPenny for FTF.
