Geocache Description:

Birkenhead Monks Ferry railway station was situated very close to the River Mersey. For most of its life, the station was part of the Chester and Birkenhead Railway, a joint railway.
The station had largely closed by August 1961 although the station and tracks survived until 1967.
The site has since been cleared, with little evidence left of its former use. A residential development now occupies the area.

Parking is available at Priory Wharf.
There is Pay & Display parking at Monks Ferry itself, just a few yards from the cache. When you turn down Monks Ferry (the road), turn left again down Alabama Way (on the left hand side of Yanco House). It looks residential or access to offices - but leads to the Pay & Display.
And charges only apply Mon-Fri 8am-3pm and Sat/Sun 8am-18:30pm, so any morning before 8am is free, evenings after 6:30pm are free, and Mon-Fri afternoons after 3pm are free.

You will need a pen to sign the log book.

CONGRATULATIONS to jay_ray and foggielaaa on a joint FTF
