SLO: Cerkev v vasi. Nekoč lastna župnija z župnikom, sedaj župnija z župnikom iz Starega trga. Vsekakor pa vaško svetišče in poslednje počivališče.

ENG: Church in the village. Once own parish, now a subsidiary. It's the village temple and the last resting place.

SLO: Cerkev sv. Nikolaja je prisotna v Babnem Polju od leta 1526, vendar originalna cerkev ni bila postavljena na sedanjem mestu. Prejšnjo cerkev so podrli in na tem mestu postavili novo. Včasih je bila to lastna župnija, sedaj je podružnica župnije Stari trg pri Ložu.
