Not many people are aware of the public access way to Jack's Bay. This cache encourages you to enjoy the beautiful sheltered beach. Sateliite coverage may be shady, so I hope the hint helps.
Jack's Bay used to be a very popular place for people to camp. There once was a public camping ground. The camp is now private property. Access to the bay is via this Council walkway on Jack's Bay Road. The road itself is unsealed, but in great condition. After you find the cache at the end of the first beach, make sure you pop around the corner to see the beautiful houses and the pieces of art that can be seen from the beach. Beaches are public property in New Zealand. ENJOY.
