Das Kraftwerk Korneuburg ist ein 1958 errichtetes kalorisches Kraftwerk in der niederösterreichischen Gemeinde Langenzersdorf, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Gemeindegrenze von Korneuburg. Seit dem 2011 beschlossenen Atomausstieg fungiert er als Kaltreserve für das deutsche Stromnetz. Das Heizöl kann per LKW, per Bahn oder per Schiff über die Donau mit einem eigenen Pumpwerk beim Tuttendörfl angeliefert werden. Persönlich hoffe ich, dass diesem Kraftwerk das gleiche Schicksal wie den MW-Sender des Bisamberges ereilt, damit der Kräftige Blick ohne Werk auskommt.

The caloric power plant in Korneuburg was built in 1958 in the Lower Austria town Langenzersdorf, nearby the border to Korneuburg. Since 2011, after the resignation of Germany to nuclear power, it is a backup for the German power net. The fuel can be brought by truck, railway or also by ship via the Danube. Therefore a pumpstation is located on the bank at Tuttendörfl. By my own I hope that this power plant gets the same fate as the medium wave transmitter at the Bisamberg, to have a powerful view without a plant.
