Amy Gillett was a dedicated sportswoman. She competed for Australia in rowing, before changing sports and started riding. Sadly Amy was killed while in Germany on a training ride.
This is the second of what I hope will be many more caches along the bikeway. Please add your own personal tribute along the bikeway.
Steve Bradbury - Last man standing!
Steve Bradbury is famous for winning the 1000m mens skating. It was an exciting race and Steve was in fifth place, when on the final corner the other four competitors fell and Steve won easily. He won Australias first ever Gold medal at a winter Olympics.
