Amy Gillett was a dedicated sportswoman. She competed for Australia in rowing, before changing sports and started riding. Sadly Amy was killed while in Germany on a training ride.
This is the fourth of what I hope will be many more caches along the bikeway. Please add your own personal tribute along the bikeway.
The Sydney Olympics were held in 2000. It opened on 15 th September with a spectacular show of all things Australian.
There were many stars of the Olympics, including Cathy Freeman and Ian Thorpe.
