Une cache simple, pour relier les caches du "Bois de la Vecquée" et de "Malonne".
L’Empereur offrit, avant 870, l'abbaye de Malonne et son domaine à l'évêque de Liège qui allait devenir seigneur du lieu à la place du comte de Namur. Par la suite, la forêt entourant ce domaine fut nommé Vecquée (pour Evêque).
Confisquée en 1796 par le Directoire de la Révolution Française, - comme tous les biens des institutions religieuses-, elle fut mise en vente en 1826 mais resta sans acquéreur jusqu'à la fin du siècle. Ce n'est qu'en 1899 que l'Etat la racheta. Actuellement, le bois, public, est géré par la Région Walonne.

De keizer heeft voor 870 de abdij en haar domein aan de bisschop van Luik aangeboden, in plaatst van de graaf van Namen. Vervolgens werd het bos rond dit domain Vecquee (Evêque – Bisschop in Frans) genoemd.
In beslag genomen in 1796 door de raad van bestuur van de Franse Revolutie - als alle eigendom van religieuze instellingen – werd de bos in 1826 verkocht. Maar hij bleef zonder een koper tot het einde van de eeuw. De staat kocht het bos in 1899 en vandaag is de bos beheerd door de Region Wallonne.
