Geocache Description:

View of Snowsheds

This cache is located where a photographer stood around 1925 taking pictures for the Lincoln Highway Association. The Association was made up of representatives from the automobile, tire, and cement industries, with the goal of planning, funding, constructing, and promoting the first transcontinental highway in North America.
Tunnel Six is on the left and Tunnel Seven is on the right. Originally cars had to go through a portion of the snowshed between them. Later, an underpass was built just east of here to avoid collisions with trains.
