CAVE OF THE CREOLES
Distante aproximadamente 9 km da Vila Jaguaribe, trata-se de uma enorme pedra côncava, chata e arredondada, no meio da mata, com tamanho aproximado de 30m de altura e 20m de profundidade, podendo abrigar muitas pessoas em seu interior. Há 100 anos a gruta era um local desconhecido, ao qual somente tinham acesso os escravos, fugidos das fazendas locais e caçados pelos capitães-do-mato, muitos dos quais morreram no seu interior. O folclore local conta que nas noites de lua cheia podem-se ouvir gemidos e o bater de correntes dos escravos que ali se refugiaram.
O acesso é por uma estrada de terra de 1 km de extensão.

Distant about 9 km from the Jaguaribe Vila, this is a huge concave, flat and round stone in the middle of the woods, about 30m high and 20m deep, that can accommodate many people inside. 100 years ago the cave was an unknown location, which only was accessed by the slaves, escaped from the local plantations and hunted down by the “captains of the jungle”, many of whom died inside. Local folklore says that on full moon nights you can hear moans and chains beats from the slaves who have hidden there.
Access is by a dirt road 1 km long.
The cache is a small pot.
