Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a series based around the Fife Stop Line, a second world war ani-invasion defensive structure built in 1940/41, see cache GC11H67 for more details.

This cache is situated in Cowdenlaws wood where the remains of a roadblock can be found. The roadblock marks the point where the stop line intersected with Standing Stones Road, one of the major routes into the "invasion" side of the stop line.

Form here the stop line headed north west across land which has since been subjected to open cast mining. There are other roadblocks in this area but all most on inaccessible private land.
