Geologensteig
Der Naturerlebnisweg Geologensteig zählt zu den geologisch interessantesten Wanderungen in den Dolomiten. 10 Hinweistafeln längs des Steiges zeigen die verschiedenen Gesteinsschichten. Wir überqueren kurz nach dem Hotel Bad Ratzes den Frötschenbach und seinen Lauf folgend steigen wir durch die dicht bewaldete, naturwissenschaftlich und geologisch interessante Schlernschlucht. Nach einiger Zeit zweigen wir der Markierung 1A folgend links ab und überqueren über die sogenannte Hohe Brücke wiederum den Bach. Der schmale, durchgehend steil ansteigende Steig bringt uns direkt hinauf zur Prossliner Schwaige (1740 m). Der Blick auf die Felswände des Schlernmassivs ist beeindruckend. Nach einer kurzen Rast folgen wir dem südwärts verlaufenden Steig 10, überqueren in einer weiten Schleife das Frötschental und biegen bei der zweiten Wegteilung rechts in den mit 1 markierten Touristensteig in Richtung Schlernboden ab. In einer angenehmen, beinahe eben verlaufenden Wanderung durch dichte Waldbestände erreichen wir in ca. 30 Min. das Schutzhaus Schlernboden (1726 m), Der letzte Teil unserer heutigen Wanderung, immer Markierung 1, führt ziemlich steil bergab hinunter nach Bad Ratzes zum Ausgangspunkt.

Sentiero dei Geologi
Il sentiero geologico naturalistico è senza dubbio una delle escursioni geologicamente più interessanti nelle Dolomiti. 10 tavole informative lungo il percorso indicano la formazione geologica delle rocce. Dai Bagni di Razzes ci incamminiamo lungo il sentiero Nr.1 che, superato il Rio Freddo, ne segue il corso, in salita, attraverso la boscosa e naturalisticamente interessante "Gola dello Sciliar". Ben presto si devia a sinistra, lungo il tracciato contraddistinto dal segnavia 1A, oltrepassando di nuovo il cosiddetoo Ponte Alto. Lo stretto e sipido sentiero geologico conduce direttamente alla Malga Prossliner (1740 m). Il colpo d'occhio sulle pareti rocciose del vicino massiccio dello Sciliar, è stupendo. Seguiamo ora il sentiero contraddistinto dal Nr.10 in direzione sud, che con ampia curva attraversa la valle del Rio Freddo che ci porta in prossimità di una biforcazione dalla quale si dirama il "Sentiero dei Turisti" segnalato dal Nr.1. Tenendoci sulla destra proseguiamo su questo sentiero che con comoda camminata attraverso un bosco folto, in ca. 30 minuti ci porta al Rifugio Piani dello Sciliar (1726 m); possibilità di pernottamento e posto di ristoro. L'ultimo tratto del nostro itinerario (sempre Nr.1) ci porta, rimanendo ancora nel bosco, in ripida dischesa fino ai Bagni di Razzes.

Geologists' Path
The natural geological path certainly is one of the most interesting geological excursions in the Dolomites. 10 panels along the path inform about the different rock formations. From the Razzes Baths take footpath No.1, cross over the Rio Freddo and follow the course of the river, walking uphill through the woody "Gorge of the Sciliar". Soon after you turn left and folow the marking No.1A, and cross the river again over the bridge called the Ponte Alto. The narrow and steep geological path leads to the Prossliner Hut (1740 m). The view of the rocky walls of the Sciliar Massif are extremely impressive. Carry on south along footpath No.10 which crosses the valley of the Rio Freddo in a wide bend and brings you to the junction where the "Tourist Path" marked No.1 branches off. Follow this path, keeping to the right, and this easy walk through the thick wood brings you to the Refuge Piani dello Sciliar (1726 m). It takes approx. 30 minutes. The last part of the route (markig No.1) leads steeply downhill through the woods to the Razzes Baths.
