Geocache Description:

This hike is more than a mile each way and features a clamber up Indian Hill followed by a very nice (mostly wooded) hike along the Yellow to the Blue and on to the Orange trails of the Crescent Trail System. This well maintained trail system winds it way through private property so PLEASE stay on the trails until within about 100 feet of the cache.

I chose the hottest day of the year to go after "Orange You Glad It's No Further" and after hiking up the hill and making it ALMOST all the way, I ran into a Trail Closed Ahead sign.

I said (expletive deleted).

I forged on, hoping I would reach the cache before I reached the next sign. Before I got to the cache, I came to Trail Closed For Maintenance sign posted by the Crescent Trail Association.

I said (expletive deleted)

I called the Cresent Trail Association, hoping they would give me the OK to proceed. After getting a taped message, I said (expletive deleted).

I called the Perinton Parks Department. Another voice mail. Another deleted expletive.

I texted Tber1981 (who found it recently). I was hoping the signs were here when she found the cache and she would encourage me to continue on. She replied the signs weren't there for her. My text back to her was (you guessed it) another expletive.

I don't look good in stripes, so i decided to turn around. But in order to make the trip worthwhile, I thought I would plant this little cache near where I was turned around by the signs.

There is good parking at the Indian Hill Trail Head Parking Area just off of Route 31 east of Turk Hill Road. PLEASE make the hike and don't take a short cut through someone’s yard. Don't make me sic the caching police on you.

Posted hours are 8:00am to Dusk. If you are not familiar with the trails, you may want to print out a trail map before you go.

The first to find prize is shiny Susan B. Anthony dollar - to be awarded almost any Sunday morning at 8:30 AM. (It's not in the cache.)

CONGRATS TO THE MACK4 FOR THE FIRST TO FIND!
