You will be standing on Colbinabbin Range, known locally as Mount Camel Range.
It is formed by some of the oldest rocks in Victoria.
More than 500 million years ago, this region was part of a vast ocean floor.
Over the next 60 million years, the basalt was gradually covered by more than 4km of deep ocean sediments.
Gold was the first metallic mineral discovered here, and the only mineral extracted in significant quantities.

The cache is a small sistema container with log and small swaps.
Please watch your children and pets here. There is plenty of room to park an RV and a few cars, but you are colse to the road, so please park well off the road.
