Sunrise township hall was built in 1861, as a one room school house. Not long ago it was the oldest government center in Minnesota where meetings were still held. Today it is open on all election days. The town of Sunrise has fought hard to remain known. Their post office has vanished and became part of North Branch. The citizens of Sunrise are very proud of their town and their claim to fame. Do you know the famous people of Sunrise?
