Flash mob (FLASH mawb) n. A large group of people who gather in a usually predetermined location, perform some brief action, and then quickly disperse. —v., —adj.
This event is only 15 minutes long!!!
You MUST be present and drop a log sheet into the can during this time to claim the event.
At precisely 19.00 BST on Wednesday, 8th August 2012, a whistle will blow and Geocachers will converge on the above coordinates from dark corners, behind lamp posts, big trees, shrubs and other inconspicuous places. Each holding a piece of string, which in turn is attached to an empty can or two (A soup can for example). Don't forget to drag it over the streets, paths to ensure a brilliant sound effect. The Soup Dragon will be proud of you! (More than one can is permitted, but all must be taken away after for proper disposal). The Gz location is in a park, so dragging over the grass doesn't count!
Arriving at GZ, we will place in the opened ammo can that has been provided, please place into the cache a piece of paper or even a postcard, showing your caching name and a number written in the corner. The number equals how many attendees are in your group, so we get a full head count. Please bring your own (postcard / log). This log will be proof of your attendance to the Flash Meet and only the received logs will be permitted to claim the event cache. These will be checked after the event to ensure all attendees are accounted for.
The Soup Dragon will defiantly be proud of you all tonight!
If your not sure what its all about, Click here and see one we did earlier
At exactly 19.05 BST One (1) name will be drawn from the can. That person will be awarded the FTF honours for the event.
At 19.06 BST Its a quick photo opportunity, we have to be very organised. Due to the expected large turn out of Geocacher's we will be allowing about 8 minutes to group together and take pictures. It sounds a long time, but trust me I have done this many times before and its very tight on time. All the children to the front, Tall folks to the back. When were ready, the front adults to kneel, middle adults to squat, and tall folks to stand, that way we get everyone in the picture. ((on the 19th August I will add the best photo to this page, but feel free to add your own to the album)

At 19.14BST photos should be done. Children please regroup quickly with parents and then all prepare for the finale.
To enable a precise ending for this Flash Event at 19.15 BST we will prepare to leave the area just 15 seconds early (that's when the whistle blows!.. All Geocacher's will of course be dragging their cans behind them. Please do not leave in any orderly fashion as it is intended that the mugglers watching us are completely bemused. Please depart into every direction possible. Dragging of tin-cans to cease in exactly 15 seconds at the precise time of 19.15 BST when the Clangers Event will end.
Difficulty rating of 1 rating. This area is suitable for all cachers.
Knitted jumpers and dustbin lids optional. (See above photo for details) If adults don't like to dress up, feel free to dress your children in your old jumpers.
When you log your "We will attend logs" please identify how many people in your group just to give us an indication of numbers. Thanks.
See you there !!!
