Geocache Description:

This is the first Geocache hidden by the Soldotna Visitors Center. The cache is located in the parking lot of our building and is available to access any time. If we're open while you stop by, feel free to come on in and talk with us.

This cache is great for those who are planning to stay in Soldotna or are just passing by. There are restrooms inside as well as free brochures and maps with information for all of Soldotna, Kenai Peninsula, and Alaska.

Be sure to complete the Challenge located on our property as well. Snap a photo of yourself with the statue out front. The challenge can be viewed here: http://coord.info/CXD44

About the Visitor Center
Soldotna is home of the World Record Salmon caught in 1985 by Les Anderson. This trophy fish is housed inside our building along with many other animals native to Alaska. We also have a fish walk that goes down to the river. During the runs, the boardwalk is filled with fishermen. The boardwalk is also wheel chair accessible if you go around the front of our building.

Congratulations to SSO JOAT and Alaskan Gold Dust for Co-FTF!
