Geocache Description:

This is my first cache so I wanted to make it a good one. As I am not only Bargeek by name, but also by nature, this is a puzzle cache with a cocktail theme! The cache is near to a great sculpture in Trafford Park called “Skyhooks”.

The cache is a small snap lock container, camoflagued black and green, it contains a log book and pencils, plenty of swag for swapping, a geocoin and a unique prize for the First to Find

This piece of street sculpture was created to represent the industrial heritage of the world's first and largest industrial estate. The sculpture consists of two 56 foot high hooks on the end of chains, reaching up as if attached to the sky. One stands at the eastern end of Trafford Park, behind the former Trafford Park Telephone Exchange building on Trafford Road, near Wharf End, and the other is located at the front the Exchange at the junction of Trafford Park Road and Trafford Road. They were designed by Brian Fell and installed in 1995, as a metaphor to represent for the regeneration of the old dockland area.

Trafford Park is an area of the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, in Greater Manchester. Until the late 19th century it was the ancestral home of the Trafford family, who sold it to financier Ernest Terah Hooley in 1896. Occupying an area of 4.7 square miles, it was the first planned industrial estate in the world, and remains the largest in Europe.
