Welcome to the largest living tree in NSW by volume, the "Bird Tree". The Bird Tree is the first big tree over in the bush to the left of the picnic area as you arrive. The Tree where the cache is, is known as "Benaroon". This tree is also one of the largest living Blackbutts in NSW. As you walk to the cache, there are two other monster sized trees, one of which you could fit a dozen or more people in it standing up.

As part of our agreement with National Parks here we won't be making any of our own tracks, so please don't go wandering around through the bushes here. As the GPS gods were virtually impossible to contact here, and so that you don't have to wander through the beautiful and fragile rainforest, the cache is under the only sleeper here, just as you turn right to walk towards Benaroon, just before the boardwalk
This cache was placed with permission from the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
