Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the “Mid North Coast Wander” series of 201 caches. The series will take you on a magnificent journey highlighting this spectacular region. Starting at the base of Middle Brother and finishing at Pilots Beach Dunbogan; this 160 km trail is truly quite stunning and we are sure you will have a wonderful time touring the area.

Refer to 001 – Mid North Coast Wander for the full details of this cache series.

This tree is a Morton Bay Fig tree which has grown from a seed dropped by a bird into a very old stump. Note the slots cut into the old stump. These were used to hold jiggerboards to allow tree fellers to climb to the best place for sawing the tree.
Update 7 Dec 2012 - fig tree growing out of the stump has been lopped off!
