Discover Newburgh in L&A County Passport

Discover Newburgh in L&A County

The community of Newburgh in Stone Mills Township was first settled in 1822.  It was once known as "Rogues Hollow", but the name was changed to make it sound more respectable.  At one time, Newburgh was bustling with numerous mills lining the Napanee River. It was so active that at one time it had almost become the largest town in Lennox & Addington County.  However, a series of devastating fires ended that possibility.  Today, Newburgh is a peaceful hamlet with beautiful stone and red brick homes dotting the landscape.  

This geocache is one of 15 found in the Discover L&A County Geocaching Passport Tour.  Passports can be picked up at the following locations:

Each time you locate a cache, punch your passport.  Once all 15 geocaches are found, the passport can be redeemed for a free L&A County Geocoin. Visit the County of Lennox & Addington Office or the Land O' Lakes Tourist Office to collect your Geocoin, or mail in the completed passport (please include your return address and cacher name) to the following address to have the geocoin mailed to you:
