Welcome to Harrington Village and Crowdy Head.
People have lived and worked in this area since 1827 when the first settlers took up land grants at Ghinni Ghinni Creek and Landsdowne River. Harrington Village itself was not declared until 1896, but the Village was permanently occupied from 1856 with the establishment of the Pilot Station. Harrington was known as the "Gateway to the Manning" and served as the entry port for the Manning Valley until the mid 1930's when coastal shipping gave way to rail transport. For the remainder of the Twentieth Century Harrington was a small fishing village and holiday camping destination for families. In 2000 the Harrington Waters Estate was established and this has seen a marked increase in the local population.
The Cache is a small decon container. Make sure you replace the lid tightly to keep it watertight.
