This cache is part of the “Mid North Coast Wander” series of 201 caches. The series will take you on a magnificent journey highlighting this spectacular region. Starting at the base of Middle Brother and finishing at Pilots Beach Dunbogan; this 160 km trail is truly quite stunning and we are sure you will have a wonderful time touring the area.

Littoral Rainforest
The area behind this cache is an example of Littoral Rainforest, one of the most threatened types of vegetation in NSW. It has been destroyed mainly by clearing for human occupation and by sand mining. Take a quick walk through the forest on the pedestrian path just to your right. It is about a 500 metre return trip. If you wish you can extend the walk to the beach on a marked track through the dunes; a total walk of about 2.5km.
The cache is a camoed Ovaltine plastic jar.
