Geocache Description:

This cache is situated in John Forrest National Park.

The area became a park in 1947 and is named in honour of the famous WA explorer.

Known initially as Greenmount National Park, the name has since changed twice - first to Forrest National Park and finally to John Forrest National Park. Lord Forrest, one of Western Australia's eminent Statesmen and explorers, was premier between 1890 and 1901.

The cache is hidden about 70m from a convenient car park location on a bend of the scenic drive into the park.

Please note the road is closed overnight at 4pm, so make sure you're out before then.
