This is the beginning cache in a series called Smith County Stroll. It's not really a power trail, more like a driving tour of a few country roads in Smith County. The containers and hides will be varied, and there are also great caches from other local cachers along the way. This first cache is placed across the road from the oldest home in Smith County, Dixona. Many settlers in this area came here because of land grants given to soldiers as payment for their Revolutionary War service. The town of Dixon Springs is named after Tilman Dixon. A magnetic dish container, log only. Brownie points if you can answer this riddle about Dixona: Dixona was built in North Carolina and its now here in TN. Yet, the house has never been moved. How is this explained?
