Geocache Description:

A nice little cache and dash or can be part of a lovely short walk.

Castle Carrock is a lovely little village off the usual beaten track and the reservoir is tucked away just south of the village.  More information about the village and the surounding area can be found at :- http://www.castlecarrock.com The reservoir was opened in 1909 to supply Carlisle with drinking water.  It takes about half an hour to walk around this beautiful and quiet reservoir. This area can be a haven for wildlife including water birds and squirrels. The cache is only big enough for the log, no swaps. Please bring your own writing tool. Parking is available close by. No spoilers please.
