Welcome to the Southern Rockies' GeoCache 6 . Updated 2020
If you come from the Longview (East) side, make sure you take the big hill slowly and in low gear. A car could make it no problem on a dry day, there's just a bit of washboard on the road. Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep like to hang out on this road between the Bear Pond parking lot, and the top of the hill where you park to hike to the cache. This cache is in a thicket of alpine fir and juniper, which was under deep snow until June this year. This cache is at a higher elevation, so it's perfect for a warm, dry day.
As of April 15th 2014 there are 2 more prizes available. These will be handed out on a first come first served basis.
Hidden in the forests along the southern slopes of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains are 15 caches, each with a different piece of a puzzle. Collect all 15 pieces and bring them (or mail them) to the address provided in order to receive the grand prize. Hint: there are no caches at wildfire tower lookouts. Caches have been placed with permission.
