Geocache Description:

Park at Ramsey. Please do not block the road. Bring a good flashlight. You will be following fire tacks from start to final. There are no intermediate waypoints.

As you reach the listed coordinates, look for orange tacks. Follow the orange tacks. The tacks will change to white. Follow the white tacks.

When you see one white tack and one orange tack side by side, turn in the direction of the orange tack. Then continue to follow the white tacks. Tacks can be high or low, and on either side of the trail.

You will follow the trail for the most part, but you will leave it as you approach the final.  Terrain is nearly level. Light bushwhacking and picking your way around some forest debris may be required. Long pants and closed shoes recommended.

Three white tacks on one tree will indicate that you are near GZ. From that point, the tacks will all be orange, and there are many! They mark the perimeter of your search area (sort of). The density increases with proximity to GZ itself.

Cache is in one of several possible places – probably the most obvious.  Please replace carefully and hide well.

In addition to the log sheet, the cache contains a few trade items and a FTF $1.00. There is no writing instrument, so BYOP.

Be sure to get the coords for the Ramsey Forest Tiger Cub Bonus Cache. They are taped to the inside of the lid of the inner container. The bonus cache is not a night cache and has no reflective material associated with it.

Upon your return to the main trail after your successful tiger hunt, you can retrace your steps (heading left) or continue on in your original direction (to the right) and complete the loop.  There are a number of trail branches in the area, but they all lead back to Ramsey Road. Plan on a little over an hour for the "Tiger Cub Safari."

Congratulations to Wiildrose on her FTF!
