Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Southern Rockies' GeoCache 8 . Updated 2020

Phillipps Lake! This is one of the many places we share a border with British Columbia.

The locals are responsible for the rail crossing, so they have requested that cachers park before the crossing, and hike up the gravel road. It is almost 5 km from the gate to the cache. The road is pretty mellow, with one or two short steep sections. Check your fishing regulations to see if fishing is permitted.

As of April 15th 2014 there are 2 more prizes available. These will be handed out on a first come first served basis.

Hidden in the forests along the southern slopes of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains are 15 caches, each with a different piece of a puzzle. Collect all 15 pieces and bring them (or mail them) to the address provided in order to receive the grand prize. Hint: there are no caches at wildfire tower lookouts. Caches have been placed with permission.
