Start this circular 4 mile walk in the attractive market town of Hatherleigh.
Walking in an anti-clockwise direction is the recommended way to enjoy the wonderful scenery along the pretty paths & lanes of this well way-marked route.
Ruby Trail walkers will want to stop here awhile for a breather. On a clear day the views through the gateway to distant Dartmoor are stunning, a great place to enjoy the panorama of Ruby country. In springtime & early summer the hedgerows are brimming with wild flowers making this ancient Devon lane a real joy to stroll along.

You are closing in on the half way point of the walk, soon to head south towards the deer farm where the grazing animals can usually be seen. Now continue your journey, taking the next track on the left across a cattle grid towards Keyethern Deer Farm.
