Geocache Description:

Beautiful outdoor site along the black river. I've just reworked some of the points associated with this cache in order to make it more enjoyable for everyone.

NEW REVISION 2 JUN 13: Single container on an island in the black river. Just off of Fort Drum. My only caution is this cache takes some navigation over a dam and is therefor somewhat dangerous. Please do me a favor and don't attempt to move over the dam if you think you are unable to do so safely. The black river is no joke. OLD: Series of camoflauged weatherproof containers.  Not much space inside so only small bugs can be placed.  Final Cache has log and pens.

Enjoy! Note: This is along a stretch of the Black River that runs along fort Drum and By order of the Commander of Ft. Drum, no activity in the black river other than fishing from the banks is allowed. That being said. Please don't swim in the river. In addition to that, however, no bushwacking is required to find this cache. Try to stick to the trails.
