We Play! Traditional Cache
The VanDucks: We enjoyed placing this one and making it big enough to hold some kid swag, but it's gone missing too many times to try any longer to keep it going!

A fun cache for kids, located near a business our little grandson enjoyed; sadly, the owner decided to close the location in August 2012.
See coordinates for trailhead access and alternate parking below; also can be reached from the W&OD Bike Trail.
(You can not get to the cache from the Fairfax County Parkway; take Elden St. to Carlisle Drive instead.)
The Sugarland Run Trail is AVAILABLE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY!
The experts say kids learn while they're playing, so we know lots of play time is important! We grandparents especially enjoy our play time with the younger members of our family, including geocaching time!
Here's a cache with room for some small toys or trade items, located along a pleasant walking trail near Sugarland Run Creek. You can use a bridge to cross the creek to go to the cache! The cache is about 30 feet into the woods from the path. We've stocked it with fun swag for kids. Be aware of poison ivy and thorns in the area as you search. (A jogging stroller will be best if you take the gravel path.)
(Cache placed with permission of Town of Herndon, which oversees this trail.)
Congratulations to the joint F-T-F'rs, Captain-n-Crew, and Schwandt!
Glad you had so much fun!
