This Cache Needs the 'Lame' Attribute Traditional Cache
onecrazycanadian: Hi,
The low health score on this cache has remained below 60 since my last contact. I see no sign of any maintenance being done to correct this and I have had no response from the owner since my last contact. Due to the lack of response I have no idea if any corrective action has been taken or if the owner has confirmed the cache is still in place. Consequently I am archiving the cache at this time. If the owner does happen to complete the maintenance required and wish to activate the cache again just let me know and I will consider unarchiving it once the issue is resolved.
Thanks!

You will be looking for a black-taped magnetic micro. It contains a logbook only, so BYOP. It should remain winter-friendly unless snowfall is catastrophically heavy. Ample parking is available in front of the Maples Community Centre. Stealth will be needed at times, and during baseball games, hunting for this cache will be impractical.
On a road trip through the American Southwest in the summer of 2011, we spent some of the time on the long drives listening to a geocaching podcast. One of its panel discussions concerned the suggestion in some quarters for a "Lame Attribute". As far as we could understand, this was to work like an anti-favourite point. Cachers would slap the attribute on any cache they viewed as too easy, too ordinary, or too... whatever. The ostensible goal would be to warn visiting cachers from out of town in advance, presumably diverting them to more challenging or interesting hides on their trip.
We thought that this was a pretty dubious idea, and so did the panel. In a pastime that (a) is supposed to be fun, and (b) relies entirely on the voluntary efforts of hiders, it doesn't seem in the spirit of the game for players to go around flaming each other's caches. Fortunately, there seems to be no sign that this proposal is in any danger of being adopted.
It got us thinking, though: what if a hider could designate their own cache as 'lame'? Instead of working like a favourite point, it would be a regular attribute, just like we identify them as "winter-friendly" or "infested with ticks". If such a thing existed, we would proudly apply the Lame Attribute to this hide. If you're looking for an evil hide, an ingenious container, or physically demanding terrain, you won't find them here. But if you're looking for a straightfoward cache, and a nice leisurely walk in a neighbourhood that is woefully undercached, then come on down. After all, even the lamest day caching beats the best day doing almost anything else.
Congratulations to marcel9 for the FTF!
