Fahrenheit 451 is a 1953 dystopian novel by Ray Bradbury. The novel presents a future American society where books are outlawed and firemen burn any house that contains them. -Wikipedia

Ray Bradbury passed on June 5, 2012, during the entry period of the GCGC Literature Theme contest, and since he was an author I enjoyed reading, I was compelled to do a tribute cache.

This is a simple Letterbox-Hybrid (reference dead letter box) cache where all waypoints (except final) are listed. So if you can't take the heat, get out of the forest. Should you be the kind that is a free spirited thinker and bucks the current trends and government authorities, perhaps you will be brave enough to bring a book to trade, and spread amongst other radicals such as yourself.

From the parking coords (the listed coords for the cache), walk down the long road to the east to waypoint R1. You will see a trail that starts to head into the woods on your left. Take that, you will notice the trail is really just a cut-through to the power line clearing. But there will be a trail along the woods. Follow the the woodline until you come to some pink surveyor flags (or waypoint R2). Turn towards the woods (take a waypoint) and dive straight in perpendicular to the edge of the woods (you will be walking roughly southwest). Walk about 130 feet. Look for a fallen tree (there may be more than one). Search that area(s).

This cache can be done at night. There is a FIRE tack at the entrance to the woods at waypoint R1, then a few on trees on the trail on the edge of the woods. There should be a FIRE tack(s) on the tree to enter the woods at waypoint R2, and maybe one more before you get to GZ which is indicated by a delta (flame tip) pattern of FIRE tacks on a nearby tree. Do not cache alone at night. If caching with a group, I suggest no more than four cars park at the listed coords for this cache. If you see other color FIRE tacks whilst attempting this cache please ignore them. Even same color tacks have been noted deeper in the woods. No need to go more than 150 feet into these woods from waypoint R2.
