Poppa Koppertop hates pickles and Momma Koppertop loves them. No matter how you feel about the edible kind we hope you like this one!
This cache is inspired by a silly math puzzle I came across in high school and that I have yet to solve. I have sat down with pencil and paper many times, but I am still no closer to a solution. So we figured why not let the caching community work out the answer to this conundrum? Hopefully as a collective brain trust we can solve this universally important problem once and for all. We hope it puts a smile and a smiley into your day.
One of the class clowns in Poppa Koppertop's Senior class had a "trademark" response to a common educator question. Whenever a teacher finished giving the class instructions and followed up with "Does anyone have any questions?" Tom* would raise his hand and offer up the following inquiry:
"If a hen and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half - how long would it take a centipede with a wooden leg to kick all the seeds out of a dill pickle?"
It's about time someone gets to the bottom of this hard hitting issue! Have a go at it!

Hope you don't end up "in a pickle" yourself trying to solve this one. We were going for a little comic relief for the series - we never intended to send your grey matter up in smoke solving this.
Once you've got it figured out, make sure you consult the GeoChecker for some helpful tips and safety recommendations regarding access to the site. Either when you get there or when you are getting ready to leave, you will have to maneuver your vehicle a bit and it could be tricky. This instructional video should help get you out of that pickle:
