Wabash College – Fuller Arboretum Traditional Cache
Wabash College – Fuller Arboretum
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache can be found on the Wabash College campus. It is placed with the permission of Campus Services. You are looking for a small container (micro) of a type familiar to experienced cachers.
Wabash College was founded in 1832, and today it consistently ranks among the best private colleges in the country. The student body of 900 remains all male, one of just three such institutions (along with Morehouse and Hampton-Sydney) in the United States.
The area in which this cache is hidden is known as Fuller Arboretum, named for college benefactor Parrish Fuller (class of 1915), who was instrumental in funding the maintenance and development of this wooded grove. Today the arboretum contains about 90 species, nearly all of which are native to Indiana.
There is no reserved parking on the Wabash campus. It is okay to use any spot that is not yellow curbed, or you may elect to park nearby on an adjacent street. It should be easy to approach this cache when classes are not in session; during the school year there will be many students around, but a well-timed approach (e.g. during class times) will allow for a relatively discreet search.
