Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small camo container with only a log. Please bring your own writing tool. This is a cemetery cache, so please be respectful. NO NIGHT CACHING! Also, please do not cache during church services.

This church, first called Freedom, was formed on the fourth Saturday of July in 1827. Reverend Chesley Woodward, along with other strong advocates of the anti-slavery movement founded the church. Later, it was renamed the New Freedom Baptist Church.

On October 15, 1927, famous Brown County, Indiana photographer, Frank M. Hohenberger, took a photo of the church. That photo is part of the Frank M. Hohenberger Collection at the Indiana University Library. Check out the web link included!
