Startkoordinaterna pekar på inseglingsrännan till Visby´s medeltida hamn. Det är ingen ide att leta efter cachen här. Detta är dock en plats värt ett besök ur historiskt perspektiv.
Den medeltida hamnen i Visby ligger i dag långt upp på land. Dels på grund av landhöjningen men även att Visbys medeltida kloaksystem har slammat igen hamnen. Då du står på startkoordinaterna ser du Kruttornet. Tornet hete från början Kastalen och byggdes på 1100 talet och hade till uppgift att skydda hamninloppet. Övriga delar av muren är från andra hälften av 1200 talet. Tornet fick sitt nuvarande namn på 1700 talet då det användes för förvaring av krut. På sjösidan av kruttornet snett nedanför till höger om det lägsta fönstret finns avloppet från tornets medeltida toalett som går rakt ut i sjön.
För att hitta in till den medeltida hamn hade sjöfararna två av Visbys torn som skulle stå i enslinje. Det första av de två tornen är ett av domkyrkans torn. Domkyrkan var från början de tyska handelsmännens kyrka och har kyrkorummet på bottenvåningen och packhus på övervåningen. Från baksidan av kyrkan ser man socken som användes för att hissa upp varorna.
Det bakersta tornet i inseglingslinjen är ett av tornen i östra ringmuren, frågan är vilket. Det som är intressant med den mursektion där tornet är beläget, är att muren här är högre än muren mot sjön. Det primära med muren var inta att skydda Gotland från fiender från havet utan att Visbyborna skulle kunna ta skatt på alla bönder som kom till staden föra att göra affärer. Detta ledde till rad bondeuppror. När den svenska kungen Magnus Ladulås fick höra om muren krävde staten skadestånd från borgarna i Visby för att uppfört detta som ett "svartbygge".
Cacher ligger 136 meter rakt öster om porten i tornet. Cachen är av storleken nano. Från burkens platsen kan det aktuella tornet beskådas från håll.

Start coordinates point to approach channel to Visby's medieval harbor. There is no idea to look for the cache here. However, this is a place worth visiting from a historical perspective.
The medieval port of Visby is today far onto land. Partly because of the elevation of the land but also to Visby's medieval sewers are silted harbor again. When you stand on the starting coordinates, you will see the Kruttornet(Powder Tower). Tower heterogeneous originally defense tower was built in the 1100's and had a duty to protect the harbor entrance. Other parts of the wall are from the second half of the 1200's. The tower got its present name in the 1700's when it was used to store gunpowder. On the seaside of the gunpowder tower just below the right side of the lower window is the drain from the tower medieval toilet that goes straight into the lake.
To find out the medieval harbor sailors had two of the city's towers that would stand in the leading line. The first of the two towers is one of the cathedral's towers. The cathedral was originally the German merchants' church and the church on the ground floor and warehouse upstairs. From the back of the church sees parish that was used to hoist up the goods.
The rear tower approaches the line is one of the towers in the eastern ring wall, the question is which. What is interesting with the mursektion where the tower is located, the wall here is higher than the wall facing the lake.
