Geocache Description:





Cachers are looking for a uniquely camoflauged ammo can. The cache was placed for the Geo-Mazing Race event that was held on July 7th. Each cache page has a theme of one of the Olympic cateogries.






Track and Field:


1936 Berlin: Jesse Owens wins four gold medals.

1968 Mexico City: After barely qualifying for the Olympic long jump finals, Bob Beamon shattered the world record by 21 3/4 in., the first in history to reach 28 and 29 ft.

1992 Barcelona: Derek Redmond of Great Britain tore his right hamstring while running in the 400m semifinal. Determined to finish, his father ran down to help his son across the line.

1996 Atlanta: Four nights after he won the 400m, Michael Johnson earned another world record and gold medal in the 200m. He became the first man to claim Olympic titles at 200m and 400m.
