This is the third in the ‘Over’ Series in and around the Union Canal. Most of the bridges over the canal are fine stone structures that have stood the test of time. There are more than 60 bridges built between 1818 and 1822 when the canal was opened. You want to be near Bridge 16 - stone built with iron railings on the Clifton Road.
