Geocache Description:

To locate this cache you will need to activate "Chirp Searching" on your compatible gps unit,eg. Garmin Dakota or Oregon, as you approach stage 1, taking in the splendid scenary, your device will recieve the information to find the cache.
Pls do not disturb the area to locate the chirp as it is unecessarry to physically locate it.

The cache can be approached from several directions along very well maintained tracks, from a choice of convenient parking locations. Other footpaths can bring you here from even further afield. Sited nearby to Compstons Cross a long time landmark on the route of the annual Round The Hills Walk, or the more challenging Rossendale Way.
The first stage of the cache is located in the area of the cross, the cache itself, a small clip and lock box, is located not to far away and should be approached along the tracks, no need to stray.
The container is large enough for a log sheet, a few small swaps, leaving a little room for smaller travel bugs or coins. Pls replace as found as this is a popular area, hoping this cache will remain safe.
This cache can be combined with several others in the nearby area, on a breezy day the "Singing-Ringing" Panoptican off Crown Point Rd, is well worth a visit.

Pls take care with the weather, even though this is a very accesible area you are quite exposed to the elements, on a nice day it is a great place, in bad weather it can be quite testing.
