Geocache Description:

Kalae is a peninsula.  You'll find this micro cache on the kalae in front of a tiny island. You do not have to get wet or even climb around the rocks to find this cache.

When I was a student at Kalani High School, our PE teacher would take us out  on the old yellow school bus for swimming lessons here at the beach in front of the Kahala Hilton.  Anyone who could swim out to the island did not have to participate.  Since I already knew how to swim, I was one of those who would swim out to the island each day and play Trumps with the guys.

By the way, Kahala Hilton, now known as the The Kahala, was where President Kennedy stayed when he visited Hawaii.
